Margaret Heaton

Margaret obtained her first degree at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. She studied piano, viola and voice.

Her first choice was teaching music, which she did from secondary to degree level at schools and colleges in the North West and North East, for over thirty years. Extramural music led her to accompanying and conducting school and community choirs.

In semi-retirement she became conductor of the Angrove Singers, Great Ayton and was a repetiteur for Opera Nova. Recently she has become organist at St. Andrew's Church, Ingleby Greenhow, is accompanist to Guisborough Choral Society and runs a private piano practice.
