Mr Alistair McCubbin

Alistair finished high school in Northumberland this year and is now studying music at Durham University. He studied singing at Sage Gateshead. As well as choral and classical singing, Alistair plays the violin and mandolin and has a keen interest in Scottish and American folk music. Singing highlights include performances of Elgar's Dream of Gerontius and Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the BBC Proms Youth Choir. He has also joined the Royal Northern Symphonia Chorus for performances of Bach's B Minor Mass and Mendelssohn's 2nd Symphony. He has sung tenor solo for Mozart's Coronation Mass and Schubert's Mass in Ab Minor.

Alistair is delighted to have been asked to sing in tonight's performance.
